North Haven Community School, in collaboration with Waterman’s Community Center, produces a fall and spring show. These typically alternate between a show for younger actors paired with a spring musical, and a full-length drama paired with a playwriting festival. Students can engage through performance, design, stage management, or anything that sparks their interest, and community adults are also often involved on and off stage! Recent productions include Queen Zixi of Ix and Mamma Mia!, and this fall's production will be Kate Hamill's adaptation of Little Women.
When there is student interest, North Haven Community School secondary students can complete in the Maine Principals Association One-Acts Festival, typically held in March.
This year, Waterman's is offering after school theater programming for students in grades K-6.
