North Haven Community School

North Haven Community School will be piloting a new partnership with the Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership during the 2022-23 school year. This pilot program will combine efforts to create experiential and integrated experiences for students with our history as a magnet school for off-island students. Dubbed the Offshore Year, the program will recruit high school sophomores to live and learn on North Haven for an entire school year, working with our local high school students on projects and experiences related to marine science, environmental stewardship, and civic action.
