At a recent home basketball game, the entire school took a moment to witness referees honoring Kate and Paul with a special award. From the refs, "How very special they are and how they go above and beyond. [Refs] play Rock Paper Scissors to see who gets the night on the island. [We are] very grateful for everything they do for the community and the officials who come out to the island. “ Kate has been hosting our referees for many, many years, offering them seafood chowder and card games.
